MICHAEL KAHN - AIA, LEED AP

VICE PRESIDENT & COO

With over 30 years of diverse professional experience, Michael has always been a “hands-on” architect and project manager with a track record for successful projects with tight budgets and schedules. KAHN architecture & design, p.c. was founded to promote a strong approach in balancing design and overall costs of a project. Michael has become an expert in bringing people together to create successful environments that support a client’s brand, business and their real estate goals.

As the Vice President and Director of Operations, Michael is an integral member on all projects. He is involved in the overall management throughout the course of all projects. Michael brings a successful approach to the coordination of the design to budgeting equations and project scheduling criteria.

Education & Professional Accomplishments. 
Michael received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute in 1987 and studied abroad in 1986 in Rome, Italy. He is a registered architect since 1993 and carries architectural licenses in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Washington D.C. He is a member of the (AIA) American Institute of Architects and was an adjunct professor at The New York School of Interior Design. Michael is LEED AP and NCARB certified.


Fun Fact.
Many don’t know this, but Michael is a 3rd degree master freemason with the Yorktown Lodge #555. Furthermore, Michael had owned a 30-foot Columbia sailboat that was moored at the 79th Street Boat Basin in NYC. A sailing memory that has stuck with him was the difficulty sailing up the Hudson while the wine and current was going in the opposite direction. Never went far.
